Deanna earned both her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology (2014) and her Master of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2021) from Old Dominion University. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient treatment programs,
supporting individuals navigating substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Deanna is passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen and heard. She takes a trauma-informed and culturally aware approach, tailoring care to each individual’s unique story. She enjoys using a person-centered approach to help
clients build resilience and move toward lasting recovery. She believes recovery is not a one-size-fits-all journey, and she is dedicated to walking alongside her clients with compassion, encouragement, and respect.
Outside of the counseling room, Deanna enjoys going to the beach, attending live music events, and spending time with her dog, Ozzy.
