Jim Malcom serves as Director of Admissions at Freedom Recovery Centers, where he is dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate what can often be one of the most difficult and important decisions of their lives, asking for help and accessing treatment.
Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia University with a focus in marketing. Following his own personal struggles with drugs and alcohol after college, Jim developed a deep connection to the recovery community and made it his life’s purpose to help others struggling with substance use and mental health challenges find their way to appropriate care.
Since 2013, Jim has worked in behavioral health admissions and marketing, collaborating with treatment organizations across the country and gaining extensive experience helping individuals and families navigate the treatment process. Throughout his career, he has been part of teams that have helped tens of thousands of people access behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment.
Having experienced the recovery journey personally, Jim understands how overwhelming it can be to take the first step and ask for help. At Freedom Recovery Centers, he is committed to making that process as compassionate and supportive as possible, ensuring that every individual who reaches out is treated with dignity, urgency, and respect while receiving clear guidance toward the care they need. For Jim, this work is deeply personal, and his mission is to remove barriers to treatment and give as many people as possible the opportunity to begin their own journey toward lasting recovery.
